Yuri Kitayama and Riv are the authors and illustrators of the Japanese light novel Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles. The website Shōsetsuka ni Narō, which publishes user-generated novels, was serialized online from February 2014 until October 2020.
TMS Entertainment produced and aired an anime television adaptation on July 6, 2021. The anime ended its first season with 12 episodes in September 2021.
The audience gave Seirei Gensouki a mixed response for the first season, but it has a high IMDB rating. Viewers criticized the typical Isekai plot, claiming the protagonist’s character was too traditional.
Despite the mixed reviews, the anime performed admirably. The overwhelmingly positive response has paved the way for season 2 of the anime. The anime announced that there would be a second season back on November 5, 2021.
Seirei Gensouki Season 2 Release Date
They also published a season 2 teaser after season 1, which served as a second affirmation of the anime. However, the anime producers have yet to announce the release date for season 2.
Based on fan theories and some of our own, the show will probably air around October or December 2022. The anime’s upcoming season will provide a further understanding of the new universe and more improvements and restrictions to Rio’s talents.

Seirei Gensouki Season 2 Trailer
At present, a trailer for Season 2 of the anime seems unlikely. However, a teaser announcing Season 2 is available for those hoping to see something new. Aside from that, publishing a prospective trailer may take a few months.
There is currently no information available regarding the release of the anime. However, the teaser is available and is posted on multiple YouTube channels.
Seirei Gensouki Season 2 Storyline
The first five volumes of the light novel series were adapted for Season 1 of the anime. We are still determining which volumes will be modified for the second season. It’s difficult to tell which anime scenes correspond to which source plotlines.
As we know, season 2 of the anime will continue with the heroes encountering intriguing situations. More character information will become apparent as the narrative develops. It’s still being determined how long Season 2’s story will go.
It tackles the fantasy subject, typically loaded with resurrection themes, as do all Isekai anime. The plot revolves around Haruto Amakawa, who returns to life as Rio, an orphan youngster.
Haruto died in an accident, yet his narrative does not end there. Rio is on a journey to avenge his mother’s death, which occurred when he was five.
Rio, who witnessed his mother being lynched in front of him, is enraged and looking for the killer. However, Haruto’s memories combine with Rio’s, bestowing him with unfathomable magical power. Rio can use this power in his vengeance goal.
Rio successfully assists Princess Flora in returning to Bertram’s Kingdom in the anime’s first season. He enrolls in Bertram’s Royal Academy since his power benefits his situation.
Rio leaves Bertram after facing various accusations. He goes to the house where his mother previously lived. There, Rio receives information about his history from his relatives. He is shocked to learn that his mother is a princess on the run.
Rio grows increasingly motivated to solve the riddle as other mysteries are revealed. Rio’s need for vengeance for his parent’s murder and how he will handle his magical skills are explored in the anime’s second season.
Seirei Gensouki Renewal Status
The anime renewal status for season 2 was announced on November 5, 2021, on their official Japanese website. The official statement read: “The second production of the TV anime “Seirei Gensouki” has been decided!”
The author also expressed gratitude to the audiences who have consistently enjoyed and supported their work.
The Conclusion
Based on a similar-titled light novel by Yuri Kitayama, Riv created the television anime Spirit Chronicles. The genre of the anime is Isekai. The drama centers on Haruto Amakawa, a 20-year-old college student killed in a horrible car accident.
The second season’s release, confirmed in November, is anticipated for the summer of 2022. Season 2 of the anime will probably be accessible in the US via Crunchyroll.
As of December 17, 2021, when Season 2 of the anime was confirmed, more than 2 million units of the light novel have sold worldwide. Stay tuned for the latest updates, and bookmark our page for the hottest news regarding the show.
