Fire Force is a manga series of the same name, written and illustrated by Atsushi Ohkubo, and serves as the inspiration for the anime television series. David Production’s company announced the adaptation on November 14, 2018.
The show’s debut season aired from July 6 through December 28, 2019. 24 episodes made up its run. In 2020, a second season ran from July 4 until December 12.
This show revolves around a squad of superhuman firefighters created to handle events involving supernatural fires. Special fire departments in Tokyo are battling a condition known as spontaneous human combustion.
Moreover, people were transformed into living inferno creatures known as “Infernals” in the year 198 of the Solar Era. Later generations can control flames while maintaining human form, but the Infernals are first-generation examples of spontaneous human combustion.
