Charles Newirth

CHARLES NEWIRTH (Producer) has produced some of the most acclaimed films of this decade. Recently he executive produced Brad Silberling’s box office success City of Angels as well as Home Fries for Warner Brothers. Some of his earlier executive producer credits include, Ghosts of Mississippi and The American President with director Rob Reiner as well as John Turtletaub’s Phenomenon. Newirth co-produced the Robert Zemeckis’ highly acclaimed, Academy Award®-winning Forrest Gump as well as Barry Levinson’s Toys and Bugsy. He also associate produced Levinson’s Avalon and The Package.

Newirth grew up in Westchester County in New York and went on to graduate with a degree in film from Ohio State University. He completed post graduate work at New York University and landed his first job in the entertainment industry as a location manager on Flashdance and Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. He also served as production manager on films such as Throw Momma from the Train and RoboCop.
